Section 2. Personal information

• How can I change my contact information or my password?
• I do not want to receive the newsletter by email. Why is it important to provide my email address anyway?

• On the personal information review page, there are 3 drop down lists: status, assistants and squares. What are they?
• I have changed my list of squares or assistants, but the new ones don't appear in the drop-down lists on the review page.

Section 3. Before you start entering data

• I try clicking on one of the forms to enter data, but I am being told that I must select a square first. Why and how?
• Can I enter data for a square, even if I have not been assigned to it?
• I did some observations away from my region. How can I find out what square number these were in?
• I have defined my square, but it still doesn't show in the drop-down list on the first page.
• If I enter my data online, should I also send the paper forms to the Regional Coordinator?
• What else should I know about data entry?

  There are a few important points that you should note carefully.

  1- you should never use the BACK and FORWARD button to move between pages.

  2- You must remember to save your data before leaving a page. This could be done by clicking the Submit or the Save button, or by using any of the links provided on the page itself (such as Next page, Previous page, etc.). Going to external links saved as a favorite or a bookmark, or that you type yourself in the address bar, will NOT save your newest data.

  3- You don't have to wait until the end of the season to start entering your data. Any information that you save will be displayed again on the online data form when you return to it. You can make changes to your data in a given season until approximately the end of March of the following year. After that date, additionnal data or changes must be submitted on paper forms or provided to your regional coordinator. If you need to make changes to data you had entered previously, simply update the information and submit the page.

• If I send my data using paper forms, will they also be available for reviewing online?
• When I try printing the page, I cannot see the right hand-side of it.

Section 4. Error messages

• What are the different types of errors and what do they mean?

Section 5. Entering data

• I have entered data, but when I returned to the page, it was not there anymore. What happened?
• What is the Reset button and what does it do? I click on it and nothing seems to happen.
• I cannot find a species that I have observed on the list that is displayed. Where is it?
• I accidentally entered data under the wrong square number, but I cannot change the number on the form! Do I have to start all over again?
• When I use Internet Explorer, there is a long delay when I try to move among the fields within the form.
• I can now see online the data that I have submitted on paper, but there are some errors. How can I correct them?
• I have submitted data on paper forms, but I don't see it online. What happened?
• There are now several entries for the same person(s) in my list of assistants. How can I fix this?

Section 6. Breeding Evidence Form

• What is the list of assistants and can I modify it or add a new person?
• I try to enter a visit number, but I get a message saying that it is not a valid number. What does that mean?

Section 7. Point Count Form
